Brax’ Tree + Anna Webber

Brax’ Tree has its roots in Kobe Van Cauwenberghe’s Ghost Trance Music septet, dedicated to the work of Anthony Braxton. The trio explores a subtle balance between composition and improvisation, enriched by the members’ jazz backgrounds. Its repertoire brings together Braxton compositions, original works, and pieces by Ornette Coleman and Mark Helias. In 2024, the ensemble expands with the addition of Anna Webber, giving rise to a two-tenor project and newly written music.
