The Orchestra Nazionale della Luna, founded by Kari Ikonen and Manuel Hermia, is a modern jazz quartet, rooted in jazz tradition while remaining open to contemporary influences and the wide horizons of our world. The Moog and bansuri expand their sound palette, while the double bass and drums create an intense rhythmic interplay. Blending swing, modernism, spiritual depth, and offbeat humor, the group explores the balance between composition and improvisation, acoustic and electronic sounds, while reflecting on social disruptions caused by new technologies and AI.
