Tribute to Maya Angelou
The Jazz Station Big Band invites you to an exceptional concert on June 4 and 5: two unique evenings during which the audience will have the chance to attend the live recording of their brand-new album.
For this new project, the big band pays tribute to Maya Angelou, an extraordinary poet, author, and activist whose words continue to resonate with strength and humanity. Inspired by her texts, the musicians of the big band have composed and arranged an original repertoire—sensitive and powerful, in her image.
Blending orchestral jazz, freedom of improvisation, and poetic engagement, this concert will be much more than a performance: a living experience, shared with the audience, who will take part in the birth of this album.
