Présentation

Christian Mendoza solo

Whether through his personal projects or as an accompanist, pianist Christian Mendoza stands out for his unremitting quest for new colors in sound. His hands, at times delicate and contemplative, at times powerful and enigmatic, mould universes where poetry, melancholy and spontaneity meet. His original compositions and striking improvisations refuse all dogmatism, and clear the path for free and authentic expression. Mendoza invites us along on  an intimate and sensorial journey, sprinkled with mystery, surprise and, eventually, a deep immersion into the self.

Moanin’Birds

Tom Bourgeois and Fil Caporali form an atypical duo mixing virtuosity, audacity and great rhythmic freedom. After a first 2022 album, their second release is Prophets & Profits, a new opus where contemporary jazz, classical echos and Brazilian accents meet in captivating dialogue. Their compositions, rich in counterpoints and shifting textures, invite to dive into a sonic exploration where each note becomes an enigma and each silence, a story. Much like in Bernard Hermann’s film soundtracks, their universe alternates between mystery and clarity, tension and suspension, offering vibrant, cinematic work, both poetic and deeply inhabited.
