FLOW | 6 months-3 years • 3-5 years Immersive performance – Contemporary dance and live music

FLOW is an immersive performance, an artistic experience designed for children aged 6 months to 5 years and their close ones. Part of the collective MΣAL and carried by La Couleur des Sons ASBL, this proposal combines contemporary dance and jazz & improvised music to create a space of sensory, emotional, and intergenerational encounter.

An immersive form at the heart of movement and sound

FLOW is more than a workshop or an animation:

It is an immersive performance at children’s height, in which the very young and adults are invited to experience dance from the inside, in a gentle, enveloping, poetic atmosphere.

Through dance, the performance follows the journey of a child growing up, moving from instinctive, floor-based movement to progressive verticality.

The dancer — in direct connection with a musician — translates this bodily journey into a sensitive exploration of space and gravity.

The musician, improvising live, follows the impulses of the movement: sounds become music, play becomes dance, in a fluid dialogue between disciplines.

The show thus becomes a metaphor for the child’s development: moving, entering music, opening to a social body, to collective harmony.

• Children discover through observation, imitation, and experimentation.
• Adults share an experience of presence and sensitive connection.

All within a playful, gentle, and respectful atmosphere for everyone’s rhythms.
