Belgian drummer and composer Gert-Jan Dreessen (1995) presents his first album as a leader, Angle of Incidence. Its title reflects the idea that every experience, encounter, music, decisive moment affects you from a different angle, subtly altering the way you perceive yourself, the way you perceive your own music. This album deals with these evolving perspectives and the way they become deeply inscribed in our musical aura over time.

In this album, Gert-Jan Dreessen retraces his personal and musical journey of recent years. After time spent performing in a wide range of contemporary jazz or crossover projects and on different stages in Europe or New York, each composition on Angle of Incidence is imbued with specific moments or experiences that shaped him as an artist.
