To mark the 50th anniversary of Les Lundis d’Hortense, this tribute honors two remarkable artists who passed away in late 2025 and early 2026: Ralph Towner and Marilyn Mazur. Both left a profound mark on the history of jazz through their singular artistic voices, their groundbreaking compositions, and their lasting influence on generations of musicians.

‘La danza del suono’ explores sound’s physical weight and gravity-driven bounce. Sonic bounce relates to rhythm and instrument interplay. Sound bounces off obstacles, governed by physics. Sound’s emergence, fade, and needed spaces are key. Artists craft sound inseparable from environment. Unique sonic experience is the goal. Sound is physical, and it’s governed by rules.
Featuring Benoit Delcecq (piano), Sylvain Bebaisieux (sax), Eric Thielemans (drums), and Manolo Cabras (acoustic bass), international musicians active in several musical fields with distinctive styles and exceptional skills. Their artistic personalities blend seamlessly with the project’s exploration of sound and space, creating an immersive experience.
