Moon Souvenirs

Moon Souvenirs is a string trio brought together by the Brazilian double bass player and composer Fil Caporali to explore different esthetics in composition that draws from Bach to Coltrane, passing by Steve Reich and Tom Jobim, where past and present are intertwined and cloudy, but emotionally vivid like an old memory. The rich background of each musician, passing by classical, jazz, folk among other genres, allows the trio to approach improvisation with a fresh openness and adventurous exploration.
