Easy Pieces

The trio Easy Pieces releases its new album, Notice, a collection of Benjamin Sauzereau’s compositions, tailored to the band’s particular instrumental combination of guitar, acoustic piano and electronic keyboards.

Notice deepens and consolidates what was started on their previous album (16): short, polished and lively pieces that cover a wide range of sounds and characters, from abstract elements to bluesy-rhythmic sounds and pop music inspirations. Precision, emotional power and deliberate gentleness decisively shape the band’s miniatures from the first notes, Sauzereau’s guitar playing and compositional style ranging from breathy soundscapes to dark dissonances reminiscent of Lynch films. The trio never shies away from expressing painful emotions, but true to their name, they always reach relief – the struggles and twisted musical solutions ultimately result in serene, pure beauty and joy.
