Présentation
Inspired by the writings of Aja Monet and the new scene emerging from the American West Coast, Raphaël Aurand offers a horizontal vision of an ensemble rooted in the legacy of African-American jazz. Surrounded by musicians with whom he shares a deep affinity both on and off stage, the drummer creates music in which the collective takes precedence over the individual, and where the celebration of gentleness prevails over the race for intensity. An invitation to close our eyes and breathe deeply in a world that constantly urges us to move faster.
